I CAN ride a bike!!

OK, so I have not ridden a bike in 15 years. Seriously. The past few months it has been in the back of my mind that I should maybe get a new bike and try riding around on some nice easy trails. However, seeing as I have not ridden one in 15 years, there was some debate over whether I could actually still do it. I, of course, had faith in myself and the saying "it's like riding a bike." I would never forget how to do it - right?

Well, today I was finally put to the test. A cute boy asked me if I mountain bike, and so while debating how to answer that question with co-workers, my friend Peter came through. Peter always rides, and he can do that crazy stuff like you see on TV. Sometimes after school he comes out and blows off steam on his bike, so he always has one here at school. This afternoon, he brought it by. I was a little unsure, but I just got on the thing and took off, riding all over and yelling "woooo-hoooo!" Every teacher that walked down the hall was forced to stop and watch me weave around the playground. It was so much fun. And Peter has a bike he will loan me, and even ride with me.

So it's true what they say. You never forget how to ride a bike. And I have an answer for the cute boy.
