Going to the Chapel...
Although I have already told most of you my stories about the wedding, I promised Renee (the bride) that I would write "at least three blogs about it." Probably won't make three, but here goes.
*I can't even begin to express my joy and happiness over the nuptuals of Renee and Greg, and how honored I am to have been a part of it all. It was a truly special moment for me.
*Renee and Greg have the greatest families EVER!!!
*Drinking on Thursday night with Renee, her sisters, Kristina, and myself talking about sex and shitting (um, not at the same time) was priceless.
*How awesome is Renee that she didn't even cry or yell at me as I ruined her brand new ivory pants by getting dirty iron rust water all over them, just minutes before she was supposed to wear them to the rehearsal?? (In my defense, I did get the stain out and she was able to wear them to the Sunday brunch.)
* Tahoe is a beautiful setting for a wedding.
*Renee's godmother took a shot of tequila at the rehearsal dinner. While we were walking to the bathroom she said, "I don't think I have ever had tequila before." I looked at her and said, "In about 15 minutes you're gonna know what you've been missing."
*Speaking of which, I drank more tequila over the last weekend than I have had in the last year (without ever being sick or hung over.)
*Renee's cousin picked me up to take me out to the dance floor and ripped my dress straight up the back. His mother (who incidentally would like me to marry her son) saw my bare ass.
*Renee and Greg left the after party to go back to their condo and consummate their love. I was out on the balcony about to light up a cigar when Renee reappeared in the window and said she needed to see me right away. "We just found Julie laying in the street sleeping on a rock," she says. I express my disbelief, although I was well aware how drunk Julie was. Renee follows with, "It's like she was a sick dog who went off to die alone in the woods."
I think I will stop there, as that last comment sums up what a kick ass wedding it was. Congrats, Renee and Greg! I love you guys!!!
