Flogged

What a weekend. I moved this weekend. Moving sucks. I will take this opportunity to send a shout out to Jenn, Mark, Paul, Alisa, Greg, Megan, and Seann for helping me. You rule and I owe you all...something.

To mark my stateside return, I went to the Goose Friday night. Thought it would be pretty mellow, considering the move and all. Let's not mention the horrific text messages to the boy, the drunk dial to the absent best friend, or the lap dance in the middle of the bar to the new roommate. Oh yeah. Let's not mention the "I love Rock and Roll" kareoke either.

Let's focus instead on the cab drive home. I had an Iranian cab driver. An older gentleman. Who I gave the wrong directions to. Who knew how to get to my house anyway. Who talked to me about his wife, daughter, and life in America. Who parked in front of my building, turned off the car, and had a heart to heart with me for an hour. Who told me "Turkish men make good husbands." For real.

I still say there is nothing wrong with waking up wearing only boxer shorts, one earring, and last night's makeup. No big deal walking to 7/11 for your diet coke. Cold pizza at 8:30 am?? Delicious. Just so long as you are packed and ready when they arrive...

Thanks again for all your help.

WOW, I was feeling really guilty about not being there as you were my SOLO WINGMAN on my recent adventure, now in addition, I am bummed I missed the cab ride, as more than likely, I would have been right there next to ya. Thanks for the drunken call, I really miss you my friend!

I was making improvments here at work, only to find out corporate is not coming up, but I am in fact going there, tomorrow. Bastards. Oh, and I finally got some furniture in my apartment.
